Our Friends and Fellow Warriors for Wildlife:

***It is with tremendous sadness that the time has come for Winged Ambassadors to say goodbye to a true giant in the practice of modern-day falconry and wildlife conservation:  Roy Lee DeWitt.  Roy was a true supporter of our organization from the very beginning, and a remarkable friend to the ones that have participated in the operation of it for even longer than that.  He leaves behind shoes that no one else will ever be able to fully fill.  His rich history in promoting the protection of Birds of Prey and his service in various different capacities is now his legacy, and we are all deeply proud of all the great things he accomplished in his lifetime.  We will always remember him and continue to be thankful to have known Roy throughout the remainder of our own lives, and Winged Ambassadors extends our deepest sympathy to the wonderful family he has left behind.  As Roy himself stated shortly before he passed away in a short note he wrote for all of us who knew him,

"Tell each of them to read John 3:16 until they understand it!!!  I want to see my friends some day in Heaven.  I love you all!!!"

We, too, look forward to the day we meet up again with Roy in our Heavenly Home.  Until then, we will fondly remember all of the happiness that the friendship we shared with him brought into our lives, and to him we say, "Well done, Roy."***
